Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has apologised to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, for what it termed ‘‘bad conduct and mistreatment.’’
Media Aide to the former president, Kehinde Akinyemi, who confirmed the apology in a statement issued on Saturday in Abeokuta, said the party’s National Chairman, Uche Secondus and a 21-member delegation of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) during a courtesy call on Obasanjo, tendered the apology.
Akinyemi added that Obasanjo granted forgiveness to the party in line with biblical injunction, and reiterated that he had quit partisan politics, but would continue to make himself available to guide any party that so desired.
